Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is best defined as spatially organizing a group of connected entities and activities for a common purpose. It is one of the mapping world's newest and most comprehensive technologies. GIS was developed to handle and manipulate geographically referenced spatial data.

Our GIS manager, Craig Bartosh, has passed the SIT (Surveyor in Training) exam with the Texas Board of Professional Land Surveying. He is in his second year of the 2 year apprentice period prior to taking the last part of the RPLS exam.

Craig holds a BS from Texas A&M University in Geography with a major in Geographical Information Systems and is currently working on his masters degree in GIS from USC.
